Program Overview
Media Design provides students with orientation experience and laboratory safety for working in an advertising design studio environment. Topics of study include art history, art production, art criticism, design elements and principles, and materials and media utilized in the field of visual communication. Particular emphasis is placed on related academic skills. Instruction also includes information regarding various computer operations, applications and procedures, type styles, desktop publishing, layout and design techniques, mechanical production files, formats, and technology in the workplace.

Graphic Designer: Graphic Designers create visual concepts using computer software or by hand to communicate ideas that inspire, inform and captivate consumers. They develop the overall layout and production design for advertisements, brochures, magazines and corporate reports.

Digital Marketing Assistant: In this role, graduates assist in the creation and implementation of digital marketing campaigns. They may work on social media graphics, email newsletters, website banners, and other digital assets to promote products or services.

Production Artist: Production artists assist in the finalization of advertising materials for print or digital distribution. They ensure that designs meet technical specifications and are ready for publication including preparing files for printing or online display.

Marketing Coordinator: Marketing coordinators support marketing efforts by assisting in the creation of marketing materials, coordinating promotional activities, and maintaining marketing databases.
