    Albertville City Schools is encouraging anyone interested in becoming a substitute in our school system to apply with Spur Staffing. Please visit spurstaffing.com for more information. You can view our current openings here! Substitutes are needed for:

    • Teachers

    • Cafeteria Workers
    • Custodians

    The Spur recruiting team will correspond with you. Following that, you will download the Spur app on your device and complete the required steps. A background check is required, and if you are applying to be a substitute teacher, you will need a substitute teacher's license as well. The process for both of those is outlined below. 

    Becoming a Substitute

    1. To create an AIM account and/or an ALSDE ID for the first time, please use these instructions and visit this website. You will need your ALSDE ID for the application and background check.
    2. Complete your Substitute License Application and pay the application feePlease keep a copy of the receipt.
    3. Complete your background check and pay the feePlease keep a copy of the receipt. 
    4. Bring your completed Substitute License Application, a copy of the application fee receipt and background check receipt, along with your driver's license and a transcript showing your highest level of education completed to the ACS Central Office at 8379 U.S. Highway 431, Albertville, AL 35950.
    5. Once everything has been processed and approved, your substitute license can be found here.
