• Overview

Albertville High School serves a diverse student population of approximately 1,736 students in grades 9-12, with around 17 students for every full-time equivalent teacher. We offer state-of-the-art facilities and innovative technology in every classroom, providing students with multiple opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.

Our school operates on an 8-period day, allowing students to take a variety of core and elective courses to prepare them for college and careers. We offer Advanced and AP courses such as Advanced English, AP Calculus, AP Biology, and AP Computer Science Principles. Additionally, we have four CTE pathways including Agriscience, Culinary Arts, Health Science, and Business & Technology.

Our Math & Science Department teachers are trained through the National Math and Science Initiative, and AHS is an AMSTI school. Most core subject teachers use A+ College Ready and CollegeBoard curriculum and strategies.

Approximately 75% of our students participate in significant activities outside the classroom, such as athletics, fine arts programs, and various clubs and organizations. We offer four choral ensembles and an esteemed band program with an average of 600 students. Our athletic opportunities include cheerleading, volleyball, football, cross country, swimming, basketball, tennis, track & field, golf, soccer, baseball, softball, wrestling, and flag football.

Our primary goal is to prepare students to be successful and productive citizens, and we believe we exceed this expectation at AHS!
