Senior Awards Night May 9th

Senior Awards Night

T

Senior Awards Night - Thursday, May 9 at 6PM in the Fine Arts Center (be there by 5:45PM)

This event recognizes our senior students for their scholarships and awards. Students (even if you are not receiving an award) and parents are invited to attend. The ceremony is divided into two sections: 1) local scholarship presentations and 2) other scholarships and awards. A list of students who will be recognized during the second section will be announced in Schoology the day of the awards ceremony. The names for section one will not be announced since many of these scholarships are a surprise.

Line Order: A numbered list of students will be posted by the morning of awards night. This number will be how you line up before the ceremony starts. If you are a student without a number, you will simply line up at the back of the line.

Check-In: There will be a check-in station outside of the Fine Arts Center so that you know your number and can start lining up. Be there by 5:45!!

Awards: The ceremony will start with the 1) local scholarship portion. Many of these awards will be complete surprises, so some of these students may not have a number. After the local scholarships are announced, then the 2) other scholarships and awards (numbered line-up) section will begin. This portion covers all academic awards and college scholarships. The first row will stand and come to the right side of the stage. As your name is called, you will walk to the center of the stage and then exit to the left. If the person in front of you is not there, you will wait to walk on the stage until you hear your name. As the first line dwindles, the second row will stand and begin moving to the right of the stage. This process will continue until all numbered students have walked across the stage.

Attire: Guys - black pants, white shirt and tie, black/dark shoes; Girls - black dress and shoes (same as graduation)

**I need your help! Fill out the Senior Awards Night & Scholarship Information Form to indicate any local or college scholarships. Let the counseling office know if you think you should have received a number (ex. NHS, Auburn scholarship, ACCESS testing). We can't recognize you if we don't know!!!
