Posted by:Parents may walk students in on their staggered start day. No one will be allowed to walk their child to their classroom any other day.

4. What is the earliest I can drop off my child at school each morning?
Posted by:Students may begin to be dropped off starting at 7:00 a.m. Prior to this time, vehicles must line up in the turn lane in front of the parking lot of the school on Country Club Rd. Please refrain from pulling into the lane directly by the front door and waiting. You will be asked to move and will have to join the line of cars on Country Club Rd.

5. Why do I see other people dropping their child off before 7:00 when I have to wait?
Posted by:ACS employees are provided early morning care. These are the only students you will see being dropped off prior to 7:00 a.m.

6. I am an ACS employee. Where do I drop off my child for early morning care?
Posted by:You will drop your child off at the front door of the school. An employee will come to your car to unload your child. You will need to show your badge the first day you drop off your child.

7. Are snacks available for purchase at school?
Posted by:Snacks are available for purchase every full school day. Snacks will not be sold on early dismissal days. Water is fifty cents, and snacks are also fifty cents.

Posted by:No, breakfast and lunch is available to all students free of charge this year.

9. At what time is my child considered tardy?
Posted by:Your child must be dropped off by 7:30 a.m. If your child arrives at 7:31 a.m. or later, you will need to park and walk into the school office to check them in. Please let the office know if your child needs to buy a snack if your child is tardy.

10. My child is normally a bus rider, but I need them to be picked up in car line. What do I do?
Posted by:You must write a note to your child's teacher indicating which date(s) your child needs to be picked up in car line. Whoever is picking up your child must know the car line procedures and have your child's pick-up car tag.

11. I forgot to bring my child's car tag to car line. How do I pick them up?
Posted by:You will have to park and come inside the office to show your ID to pick up your child. Whoever is picking up your child MUST be on their check-out list. We make no exceptions. This is for your child's safety.

12. It's my child's birthday, may I send a special snack?
Posted by:We do allow special snacks for birthdays. However, you must contact your child's teacher first to ensure there are no food allergies in the classroom. This also allows the teacher to plan what time will work best during the school day to maximize the celebration of your child with the least disruption to academic instruction.

13. There is a wristband on my child's backpack. May I remove it?
Posted by:No, the wristband must be on your child's backpack for them to ride the bus. They will not be allowed on the bus without it. Please do not remove it. It is vital to ensure your child gets on the correct bus.

14. No one will be at my home in the afternoon. May my child be dropped off there alone?
Posted by:No, students in grades K-4 must have someone waiting with their pick-up card visible in order for the bus driver to let them off the bus in the afternoon. This is for your child's safety.

15. Does my pre-k student have the option to ride the bus?
Posted by:Pre-k students do not have the option to be transported to or from school via bus. They must be dropped off and picked up in car line.

16. How much is the school fee? Is it based off grade level or the same fee for all kids?

Posted by:Our cubbies do not have the space to accommodate nap mats. Kindergarten students will need to bring towels for nap time.

19. For color days, do all students wear the color or just the groups from that color?
Posted by:All students will wear the color for each color day. These days align to the colors they are focusing on in class for each particular day.

20. When is the first day of school for kindergarten?
Posted by:AKPK will be the only school with a staggered start. Start days for AKPK students are as follows:
- Aug. 7 - Last name begins with A-H.
- Aug. 8 - Last name begins with I-P.
- Aug. 9 - Last name begins with Q-Z.
- Aug. 12 - All students will come to school.
