At Albertville Intermediate School, we are excited to introduce the "Albertville Advantage," a student-centered approach designed to prioritize the academic growth of each learner. Our curriculum encompasses core subjects such as English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science while offering enriching special classes in Art, Music, STEM, Theater, Gym, and Library. To further enhance our students' educational experiences, we hold Club Time twice a month, allowing students to choose enrichment classes that ignite their interests. Additionally, the Aggie Advantage block provides dedicated time each day for students to engage in courses tailored to their learning needs, utilizing i-Ready diagnostic data to ensure personalized instruction.
This academic year is poised to be both positive and productive, filled with exciting events like The Amazing Shake, Rock Your School, House Competitions, the Fall Festival, and the Summer Send-off. Each student will belong to a house that embodies character traits we aim to cultivate during their time at AIS. Our houses include:
- House Amicitia (the house of loyalty and friendship)
- House Ferocia (the house of courage)
- Magisterium (the house of leadership)
- Littera (the house of wisdom)
We take pride in embracing and celebrating our diversity, recognizing it as a strength that promotes growth and learning. Our commitment to providing various "advantages" empowers our students as they transition from elementary to secondary education. We are fortunate to be part of a supportive school, school system, and community that offers a wealth of opportunities for our students. I am grateful for the chance to collaborate with our dedicated staff, students, parents, and community members to positively impact our students' lives.
Together, let's make this a remarkable year at Albertville Intermediate School. Go Aggies!
